With over 30 years experience in the field of labour sourcing and staff placement for specialist industries, Infocus has worked with some of the largest names in the rail, highway, construction and civil engineering sectors.

Our background includes labour sourcing for the mining industry, rail networks and high-profile construction projects. We are an Achilles Link-up Approved Supplier and have a Network Rail Principle Contractors Licence. Furthermore, we are fully RISQS approved and qualified by audit certification.

Our strong in-house team of experienced professionals is spread across four branches, giving us nationwide capability. Each of our team members is a specialist in their own field, providing a bespoke and exceptional level of service to our clients, helping us foster excellent and long-standing client relationships.

Meet the team

Tim Cole


Tim has global capability in talent search and selection. His recruitment focus started within the natural resources sector, working internationally with clients covering the full spectrum of executive and operational roles. Placements on US$ multi-billion projects for clients. He now leads our business focused on providing contingent labour and related services to our clients within the Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.

Tim has also been a first class learning and talent development consultant to some of the world’s leading corporations, with over twenty five years L&TD experience. He has designed, developed and delivered management assessment, training and development programmes for a broad range of professional and managerial roles across the globe. Tim founded a niche experiential training company in the 90’s which has major international clients. He is passionate about human endeavour and focused on helping organisations get the best from their people.

Adam Crowhurst


Adam is one of our key Resourcers. He has 8 years operational experience working on the railway on numerous projects. Most recent projects relate to Blackfriars, North London Line and East London Line. Carrying out: Track Renewals, Track maintenance and Platform Extensions, Site Supervision & ALO Champion.

Adam covers shifts as required by clients and steps in when emergency cover is required. At weekends he can often be seen either carrying out safety inspections ensuring the Machine/Crane Controllers have the correct paperwork, permits and lifts plans or sometimes leading walk-abouts with the Client Management and Network Rail.

Mike Broad

I.T. Consultant

Mike is our IT guru, he provides all our IT support and has created our bespoke database management system used for managing our front and mid office operations.

Mike has been placed in several lead roles in his professional I.T career and been involved with the development of a number of business critical systems ranging from cloud based Fleet Management and Invoicing systems to full-fledged Ecommerce, CMS and back office systems.

Mike is highly equipped being taught by leading developers at Microsoft during his study’s and internship. After achieving a 1st class honors degree and Masters Degree with distinction he became both Microsoft Certified and Java certified. Since then he has become a keen promoter of beta developments and emerging technologies, contributing keenly WebGL – an emerging 3D programming language that allows 3D graphics to be displayed on a web browser.

Darren Male

H&S Advisor

Darren is our HSQE Advisor. Darren has been a HSQE Advisor for 15 years and provides a range of health, safety, quality and environmental advisory services specialising in the rail, civil engineering and construction sectors. Darren is a Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, a Chartered Safety and Environmental Practitioner, and registered on the Government’s Occupational Safety & Health Consultants Register. Darren maintains our business management systems and undertakes our internal compliance audits and reviews. Darren also administers our Achilles RISQS rail assurance schemes.

Dean Frith

Operations Manager

Prior to his current role as Operations Manager Dean was the Resource Manager for Keltbray Rail responsible for resourcing and recruiting all safety critical staff for national rail projects.

Dean has over 14 years experience working within the construction industry and has held a PTS since 2005. During this time he has gained a vast knowledge of all on-track plant and associated machinery. He has worked for many of the main Road-Rail suppliers in the UK and is familiar with all varieties of plant and capabilities of the plant. This proves extremely valuable in the planning of works and liaising with clients, suppliers and workers. Dean is currently one of a few RRV operators in the UK that have been trained to operate the new Colmar T1000 track machine with the Movax SG75 piling attachment. He is a certified Network Rail Lift Planner and holds PMSTS and also fully competent with working ALO.

His construction work experience spans from general groundwork’s and drainage to thrust boring, cut and cover, dropping shafts. decommissioning, dismantling and demolition through to conventional pilling, screw pilling, sheet piling, Rail Piling with RRVs including Colmar T1000s and all foundation works through to erecting structures, gantries and signal. Dean’s office based experience consists of manpower resourcing, plant operations planning, procurement, account management, price build ups and quotations.

Rakesh Gupta


Rakesh is a Certified Accountant with expertise spanning over 25 years; working mainly within the Kent area specialising in the UK’s Construction Industry. Professionally and efficiently handling all accounting and compliance issues that can arise. He heads a dedicated team of qualified accountants based at our Gravesend office and has a further 20 office staff at his disposal, thereby providing a comprehensive finance and accounting service. Running all of our payroll and invoicing, the Accounts Team also handle the business matters of our PAYE and contracted workers.

Ajay Lard


Ajay is part of our Finance team based in Kent. After graduating from Durham University with a degree in Accounting & Finance he trained within Audit, advising clients in various sectors including property, pharmaceuticals, marketing and logistics. Ajay now deals with Tax matters, particulary the Construction Industry Scheme, Payroll and VAT.

    Anna Sulbinska

    Sentinel Coordinator

    Anna is responsible for managing Infocus Resources’ Network Rail Sentinel system, applying and controlling compliance procedures, collating training records, monitoring and organising rail industry specific training for our workers. She also assists in managing client relations and generating new business.

      Helen Burrows


      Helen is our hard working Administrator educated and living in Wales she is based in Caerphilly. Helen previously worked for a Heath & Safety Consultancy, with the focus of advising clients in all industries including the rail sector.

      Anita Shama


      At Infocus Resources Anita is the office administrator for the London based office of the company. Anita’a duties touch on many areas including reception, dealing with induction of workers and related paperwork, keeping records of workers and their qualifications, HR queries, company cars, account queries, emailing, general correspondence, stationery and keeping the office running.

      Previously Anita worked in Canary Wharf in the Legal and Compliance Department of JP Morgan. Anita’s background has included many years’ experience as a legal secretary, working for several London based solicitors as well as a period as a care home administrator and in her early career as office manager and marketing assistant.

      Anita is a key part of our team organising and enabling the team in the office and interacting with colleagues, workers, and clients.

      Scott Jones


      A member of our finance team based in Kent, mainly specialised in payroll processing and any relating queries for Limited companies and self-employed workers and making sure the accounts compliance is filed and up to date as well as general admin duties, a background in payroll, production management, procurement and administration, currently working towards an AAT qualification.
